Mr. Oanthata Jester Sealetsa

I was born in Kanye on 16.10.67. I come from GooMotebejane ward in Kanye. I grew up in Selebe Pikwe and went to school at Tebogo Primary School from 1975 to 1980. I also did my secondary education from 1981 to 1985 at Selibe Pikwe Secondary School (SPSS) and later served my national service at Malatswae village in the Serowe - Palapye Sub District from 1986-1987. I also went to Botswana Polytechnic in 1987 to start a Bachelor,s degree in Design and Technology which I completed in the United Kingdom in 1992 at the University College of Marjons an affiliate College of the University of Exeter in The UK. I  taught Engineering Drawing and Design and Technology at Naledi Senior Secondary School in 1992-1993 and later joined The Botswana Polytechnic as a Staff Development Fellow. Later in 1996, I went back to England to pursue my Masters Degree in Technology Education at the University of Manchester. I then jointed the University of Botswana in 1996. Some of the courses  I have and continue to teach are Ergonomics and design, Occupational Health and safety for Designers, Principles of Design. My research areas are in Ergonomics and Design and have published several peer reviewed journal articles in the area of Ergonomics and design. I also had a PhD stint with the University of The Witwatersrand in The Republic of South Africa.. My research topic comprised of developing an ergonomics model for Technology Transfer which i intend to complete in the near future.
