Dr Ibo Ngebani obtained his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Communications) from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 2003. He then joined the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) as an Assistant Telecommunications Engineer in 2004. His work as an Assistant Engineer at BPC included the provision of services for Teleprotection, SCADA (Data) and Speech using Power Line Carrier (PLC), Fibre Optics, Microwave, HF, VHF and UHF Radios. He obtained is Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Botswana in 2009. After obtaining is Master's Degree he joined Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China as a PhD research Assistant. He obtained his Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Information Science and Communications Engineering in 2015. His PhD work was on the the Digital Compensation of RF Impairments in the upcoming 5G Wireless interfaces. In 2015 he joined the University of Botswana as a Lecturer and was promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer in 2019. His research interests are in Wireless Communications, Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing and Block Chain technologies.
