Prof. Othata has been with the University of Botswana for over 25 years.  He is an alumnus of the University of Botswana, University of Essex and Sheffield Hallam University.  He has served the University of Botswana in various capacities including Head of Department, Deputy Dean and Dean of Faculty.  He also serves as external examiner to several Universities and also provides consultancy and advisory services in the areas of accountancy, fiance and risk management.  He has also undertaken national and regional assignments including serving in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) election observer mission.  He is also a member of the Botswana Stock Exchange Board of Directors.
