Mr. Benjamin Lesele Janie teaches in the department of African Languages and Literature at the University of Botswana. He is a poet and has a passion for creative writing, performance arts, oral literature and cultural studies.

Mr.  Janie holds an M.A. from the University of London(S.O.A.S).He is a member of the Setswana Vehicular Cross-border Languages commission of ACALAN (African Union Commission). He is a co-author a play,  A kind of Justice and an anthology of African poetry written in English , Ceremony of the Word . His Setswana poems appears in anthologies by K.Mogapi.
