Staff Profiles

Dr Onkabetse Julia Molefe-Baikai is an Internal Medicine Physician at Princess Marina Hospital and a lecturer at the University of Botswana, Faculty of Medicine. Following her undergraduate medical education at the University of Ghana, Accra Dr Molefe-Baikai completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Botswana with a 2-year rotation at the University of Capetown and subsequent admission into the Fellowship of the College of Physicians of South Africa. She obtained her Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the University of Botswana. Her research interests are on the prevention and management of cardio-metabolic diseases in people living with HIV, particularly hypertension and diabetes.  She also has a special interest in prevention and management of rheumatic heart diseases.
