Dr Gunhidzirai is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Work, University of Botswana. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She is involved in collaborative research initiatives with colleagues both within and outside the University. Also, she is a Secretary of the  Links Committee,  Exam Coordinator, a member of the Fieldwork Sub-Committee and Student Advisory Committee in the Department of Social Work, University of Botswana. Lastly, Dr Gunhidzirai is a registered member of the Association of Schools of Social Work in Africa (ASSWA), South African Council for Social Service Professions and the Botswana Association of Social Workers.

Dr Gunhidzirai teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
