Professional Qualifications

Dr. Ewurum holds a PhD in Estate Management awarded in 2019 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

He obtained both M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees (2-1) in Estate Management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2014 and 2007 respectively.

Brief Biography

Dr. Nonso Ewurum is a scholar, author, and researcher in the field of Estate Management, with over 15 years of experience in industry practice.

Prior to his doctorate degree in Estate Management, he gained valuable industry experience working in property management, marketing, and consultancy roles for firms in Abuja and Enugu, Nigeria. He has transferred this wealth of experience to the classroom where his passion for the real estate profession has helped inspire current and next generation of real estate professionals.

Currently, Dr. Ewurum is a Lecturer at the University of Botswana, Gaborone. He has held committee, board, and academic positions at University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. He is also a member of the advisory board of Boldscholar Research Inc., a reviewer of web of science indexed journals, an editorial board member of SEER Journal, and a double beneficiary of research grants (TETFUND NRF & IBR).

His scholarly interests encompass a wide range of topics, including real estate investment analysis, sustainable housing, real estate marketing, and disruptive technologies. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, and presented papers at numerous international conferences including ARES, ERES, and PRRES.

Teaching Areas

Dr. Ewurum is open to teaching all aspects of the Estate Management discipline. However, his teaching experience has covered portfolio management, real estate appraisals, research methodology, value and risk management, property law, and land policy. Others are property valuation, property rating, applied town planning, fundamentals of estate management, land economics, property management, and project management.
