Dr Alfred Mutanga is a PMIITPSA® SAQA registered and IFIP IP3 accredited professional member of the Institute of Information Technology Professionals of South Africa (IITPSA). Dr Alfred Mutanga is also registered by IITPSA as a critical skills expert as an academic and researcher in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). Alfred joined the University of Botswana in April 2021 as an Instructional Designer and Coordinator of the Learning Management System and Course Design Team in the Educational Technology Unit, Centre for Academic Development. Currently he is the Acting Deputy Director of the Educational Technology Unit. Dr Mutanga is also a consultant for the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Dr Mutanga is providing support in the implementation of the COVID-19 response under the #LearningNeverStops: COVID-19 Accelerated Funding for the Education Sector in Zimbabwe. Prior to joining the University of Botswana Dr Mutanga has been and is still a Business Intelligence Consultant for the University of Limpopo. His expertise among others included designing and implementing the Business Intelligence Systems, that have been and are being used  for strategic decision making, supporting strategic planning, and reporting and Quality assurance processes within the University of Limpopo. Dr Mutanga was the Deputy Director Strategic Management Support at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT).
