Dr Kefilwe Boineelo Mogami completed her medical undergraduate studies at the University Of Monash, Australia (part of the Group of 8) in 2010 where she graduated with honours. She then completed a 1 year internship at Monash Health in Melbourne, Australia. Upon her return to Botswana, she worked for the Ministry of Health at Mahalapye District hospital from 2012-2014 where she served as a medical officer. During that time she was Vice- Chairperson of the COHSASA accreditation committee, which saw MDH be the first government hospital to attain COHSASA accreditation. She went on to undertake her post graduate Training at the University of Witwatersrand, where she completed and was accepted as a  fellow of the college of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa (2018). Upon completion of her fellowship, she undertook subspeciality training in the form of a fellowship in Hand Surgery, for which she trained at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. She also completed an Mmed in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2019. Upon her return home, she was re-designated to Specialist position at Princess Marina Hospital, a position she did not hold for long before joining the University of Botswana in July 2020. She currently holds a lecturer position in Orthopaedics and Hand Surgery. Dr Benjamin is an avid reader, an academic at heart who has a great passion for fostering learning and ongoing medical education.
