Dr. Mothobi is an expert in research and training in the areas of Competition and Regulation, Network and Digital Economics. He holds a doctoral degree from School of Economics, University of Cape Town. He is a member of MONSSA Digital Transformation Unit based in the University of Cape Town, School of Economics. He is a faculty member in the department of economics, University of Botswana. He has provided technical assistance to a number of international organizations, including the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the World Bank, the south African Competition Commission and a number of African telecommunication authorities, on issues of telecommunication access, pricing, affordability and digital rights. Dr. Mothobi is an associate Researcher at Research ICT Africa. Some of the areas of interest include econometrics, game theory, international trade and institutional economics.
