DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING
VACANCY NO: IRC 2393
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in Professional Practice, Project Management, History of Architecture. Additional responsibilities will include academic research and any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have; (i) at least a five years B. Arch or equivalent professional degree(s) in Architecture; (ii) Relevant post professional Master’s degree in Architecture with specialization in Professional Practice, Project Management, History of Architecture or cognate subject with specialization in one of the areas listed above; (iii) A PhD in Architecture or cognate subject; (iv) evidence of engagement in research; (v) Registration or eligibility to register with the Architects Registration Council. University teaching experience or equivalent as well as evidence of governance and social engagement are added advantage.
NB: In special circumstances an applicant with Master’s Degree in Architecture or cognate or area with demonstrable quality design experience (Portfolio) and a five years B. Arch or equivalent professional degree(s) in Architecture with at least a 2(i) classification may be considered for appointment.
