Applications are invited for the position of Temporary Full -Time Demonstrators (Applied Geophysics) in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties: (i) Assist Academic staff with teaching activities in Applied Geophysics (ii) Demonstrate to students how various geophysical equipment operates (iii) Be able to take students for geophysical data acquisition (iv) Assist students with geophysical data processing and interpretation (v) Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department, or any staff member assigned to supervise the candidate.
Requirements: Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics or Bachelor’s Degree in Physics (having done some Geophysics courses). Acquaintance with Geophysics processing software programs will be an added advantage.
