The Faculty of Education invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Temporary Full Time Demonstrator in Music Education.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to assist in; (i) managing the departmental music laboratory through monitoring of lab equipment and supervision of lab activities; (ii) provide technical assistance to staff members in the use of musical instruments during the teaching of music education; (iii) organising and cataloguing all audio musical instruments and materials; (iv) provide support during the conducting of tutorials; (v) order equipment and supplies (recording studio discs, sound equipment, instruments,etc.) as instructed; (vi) prepare schedule for student recitals, band and choral concerts; (vii) facilitate the logistics of approved music group performances; (viii) performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirement: Applicants should possess; (i) a Bachelor Degree in Music Education or related fields with; (ii) know music notation; (iii) competence in the use of relevant software; (iii) one year experience as a technician in the music field, working at university or comparable institution, experience of handling and using of musical instruments will be added advantage.
