Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) assist academic staff with teaching activities especially in Applied Geophysics (ii) demonstrate to students how various geophysical equipment operates (iii) be able to take students for geophysical data acquisition, (iv) assist students with geophysical data processing and interpretation, and (v) perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department, or any staff member assigned to supervise the candidate.
Requirements: Applicants must possess at least a Bachelors’ Degree in Geophysics or Bachelors’ Degree in Physics (having done some geophysics courses). Acquaintance with geophysics processing software programs and/or being a part-time graduate (MPhil/PhD) student in the Department of Physics will be an added advantage.
