TEACHING ASSISTANTS (10 POSITION)

VACANCY NO: FSS/ST 1/2020

Duties:  The successful applicants will assist lecturers of first and second level statistics courses in their tutorial work. Each teaching assistant will be required to work 8 hours per week. Hours can be negotiated to be during out of office hours. The selected candidates will work under the supervision of the departmental tutorial coordinator, course instructor and Head of Department to achieve the department’s teaching requirements.

Requirements: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics or Combined Major Statistics with at least a 2(ii) pass or equivalent. Previous teaching experience, flexibility to work during the day and/or a Master’s degree in Statistics shall be added advantages. Applicants with a basic degree in Mathematics and Master’s Degree in Statistics should be currently enrolled and registered for the graduate program with the department.

Remuneration: As per approved part-time rates.
