TEACHING ASSISTANT – CHILD DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY [CDL]

VACANCY NO: IRC 2604

Duties: The successful candidates will be expected to:

  1. Facilitate the learning process of young children from the age of 0-5 years;
  2. Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, which is multi
  3. Cultural and relevant for young children.
  4. Monitor and evaluate children’s daily programs.
  5. Assess individual children’s development and generate progress reports.
  6. Ensures the health and safety of the children.
  7. Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements: (a) Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Education / Family and Consumer Sciences / Home Economics with an area of emphasis in Early Childhood Development (b) A teaching permit from the Ministry of Basic Education (MOBE) (c) Experience in working with young children in a preschool setting and a Master’s degree in Child Development / Early Childhood Education will be an added advantage.

PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO UB GRADUATE STUDENTS
