We are a dynamic team of researchers based at the University of Botswana, the Botswana Harvard AIDS Partnership and the Ministry of Health and Wellness primarily focused on improving health outcomes for people living in Botswana and the Region.

We seek hardworking, conscientious professionals with attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, work ethic and a keen interest in research to join our team in the following positions:

RESEARCH NURSE(S)

Key Performance Areas

The successful appointees will be required to perform tasks necessary for the safe and complete delivery of the procedures outlined in the protocol to the highest standard. Amongst other responsibilities, they will be required to.

• Work with local clinics for integration of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases in existing HIV Care
• Carry out INTERCARE specific roles including but not limited to training and mentoring healthcare professionals, communities and other stake holders.
• Explain the study objectives and obtain full informed consent from potential study participants according to good clinical practice
• Monitor recruitments trends in consultation with the study team, and lead on troubleshooting any shortcomings
• Complete all data entry points as required by the study protocol and data management plan entering this data accurately into the electronic data collection database
• Contribute to the resolution of any ensuing data queries in a timely manner
• Provide regular updates on study progress.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree/Diploma in Nursing (for Research Nurses positions) with experience in clinical research conduct.
• Must be knowledgeable on HIV/AIDS prevention and care.
• Must be knowledgeable on  NCD,s
• Must be registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana (for Research Nurses positions)
• At least a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience working as a Research nurse.

Competencies

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent time management
• Strong presentation skills
• Computer literate
