RESEARCH ASSISTANTS – (TWO POSITIONS)

SAFER Improvement research project at the University of Botswana is looking for a motivated, result driven Research Assistant with keen interest in joining our team.
DUTIES: The successful candidate is expected to assist in the implementation of the aspects of the research including, but not limited to education about the study, registration of clients/participants, collecting relevant data, screening participants for the study, making follow ups and ensuring that study is implemented according to the approved protocol. The incumbent will work hand in hand with the Ministry of Health HCAs, and Eye Health Team ensuring coordinated participant workflow from screening to receiving care. He/ She will assist the Research Coordinator in administration, keeping data files as per set standards and any other tasks deemed necessary.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants should hold a (i) Basic Health Care Assistant (HCA) certificate and/or certificate in any health-related course (ii) Must have knowledge of computers
Experience and Competencies: The candidate will be required to perform the duties outlined below with the use of clinical research ethics and adherence to study protocol.
