PART-TIME LECTURER IN STRUCTURES (2 POSITIONS)

VACANCY NO.  FET/CE 2/2020

Area: Structural Engineering & Construction Materials

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate courses in (a) Structural Engineering and (b) Materials; and (ii) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a Doctorate in Civil/Structural Engineering; (ii) registered or eligible for registration with a professional engineering body; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iv) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution, governance and social engagement as well as good research and publication record in areas relevant to structures will be added advantages.

NB: Applicants with a Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering of at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 on a 5 point scale or equivalent may be considered.

Remuneration: As per approved part-time rates of the University of Botswana.
