PART-TIME LECTURER IN MUSIC EDUCATION

VACANCY NO: FE/DPE 1/2020

Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for; (i) teaching undergraduate and graduate students; (ii) supervise research projects and provide guidance to students; (iii) undertake research and any other duties deemed necessary.

Requirements: The candidates should have: (i) a PhD in Music Education; (ii) sound knowledge and technical skills in a variety of musical instruments; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research. Added Advantages: (i) ability to teach courses in Integration of the Arts, Music in Culture, Vocal and Choir Training, and Music Instrumental Pedagogy; (ii) assisting in the encouragement of extra-curricular activities; (iii) evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution.

NB: Applicants with a relevant MEd in Music Education, with a Bachelor’s degree of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered.

Remuneration: As per approved part-time rates of the University of Botswana.
