PART-TIME LECTURER IN MINERAL ENGINEERING – (CONTRACT POSITION)

VACANCY NO. FET/CE 1/2020

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate courses in Mineral Engineering; (ii) conduct and produce results of scholarly work, actively involving students at undergraduate and post graduate levels; (iii) perform administrative and other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Applicants must have: (i) a Doctorate in Mineral Engineering or related fields; (ii) registered or eligible for registration with a professional engineering body; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iv) evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will be added advantages. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience at University level in more than one of the following areas: Extractive Metallurgy, Hydrometallurgy and Pyrometallurgy.

NB: Applicants with a Master’s degree in Mineral Engineering or related fields from a recognized university with a Bachelor’s degree of at least 2(i) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6 on a 5 point scale may be considered.

Remuneration: As per approved part-time rates of the University of Botswana.
