PART-TIME LECTURER IN MINERAL ENGINEERING

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING

VACANCY NO. IRC 2724

Duties: The successful candidate is expected to; (i) teach undergraduate courses in Mineral Engineering in the following courses: Processing Plant Equipment Selection and Design, Process Control and Instrumentation for Mineral Engineers and Physical Mineral Processes (ii) be able to supervise students at undergraduate level; (iii) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Applicants should have; (i) a PhD in Mineral Engineering or related fields; a Master’s Degree in Mineral Engineering or related fields with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Engineering or related fields; (ii) be registered or eligible for registration with a professional engineering body (iii) evidence of engagement in research. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant teaching experience at a university level and practical exposure in Mineral Engineering.

N.B In special circumstances, a Masters’ Degrees in Mineral Engineering or related fields with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Engineering or related fields of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered.
