PART-TIME LECTURER IN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

VACANCY NO. FE/LSSE 2/2021

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Environmental Education, Department of Languages & Social Sciences Education, Faculty of Education.

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach Graduate and Undergraduate courses in Environmental Education; ii) to undertake academic research, engage in governance and social service; iii) take an active part in the supervision and assessment of Graduate and Undergraduate students’ research projects; iv) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department. 

Requirements: Applicants must have:  i) a Doctoral degree in Environmental Education; ii) show evidence of engagement in research; iii) teaching experience at university level or comparable institution; and Governance and social engagement will be an added advantages.

N.B In special circumstances Master’s Degree in Environmental Education may be considered provided that the candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with at least a 2(i) pass or equivalent.

Remuneration: The University offers competitive salaries and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
