PART-TIME DEMONSTRATORS

VACANCY NO: FHS/SoHP1/2021

Duties: Successful applicants will be expected to: (i) Prepare materials for undergraduate practical sessions. (ii) Demonstrates clinical laboratory science skills to students during practical sessions. (iii) Maintains acceptable safety standards in the laboratories and associated working areas. (iv) Handle human biological specimens. (v) Demonstrate the correct use of equipment to students during laboratory sessions. (vi) Cleaning up after practical sessions. (vii) The position reports to the Senior Technician.

Requirements: (i) Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any related field. Flexibility to work during the day (ii) At least 3years working experience in the medical laboratory cognate disciplines (i.e. Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Cytology and Histology (iii) Registered with Botswana Health Professions Council as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician. Good technical and communication skills.

Remuneration: As per approved part-time rates.
