The University of Botswana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the positions of Teaching Assistants at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Duties: The successful candidate will be required to assist in the teaching of courses in the Bachelor of Design & Technology Education and Bachelor of Industrial Design programmes. The Teaching Assistant will primarily (i) instruct and demonstrate the practical aspects of Design Communication courses (ii) mark students’ scripts and reports, (iii) perform any responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department. Responsibilities will include working with creative processes, sketching, manual and digital rendering, basic model making, 2D graphics, animations etc.
Requirements: Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Design & Technology, Industrial Design, Product Design and/or any related field. Work experience, proficiency in design communication (including creative processes, sketching, manual and digital rendering, model making, 2D graphics, animations), as well as university level demonstration/teaching assistant experience will be an added advantage. Applicants should be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite.
