Applications are invited for the position of Demonstrators in the Department of Industrial Design and Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Duties: The Department offers courses in the above areas to the students of Bachelor of Design & Technology Education and Bachelor of Industrial Design programmes. Demonstrators are required to instruct and demonstrate the practical aspects of these courses. Design materials and processes include working with the following materials: metal, wood, polymers, other manufacturing materials and technologies for processing the materials. Additive manufacturing includes: 3D printing, rapid prototyping, selective laser sintering, additive fabrication, computer-aided design and computer-aided Manufacture.
Requirements: Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Design & Technology, Industrial Design, Computer-Aided Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Additive manufacturing, and/or any related field. Work experience and university level demonstration experience will be an added advantage. Applicants must specify the area in which their applications should be considered.
