LECTURERS IN MATHEMATICS (2 POSITIONS) – CONTRACT POSITIONS

FACULTY OF SCIENCE

DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

VACANCY NO: IRC 2416                                                     

Duties:  The successful applicant will among other things, be expected to: (i) teach Pure/Applied Mathematics courses at undergraduate and graduate level (ii) supervise undergraduate projects, but may be assigned to supervise graduate students (iii) conduct research and render professional service, (iv) carry out any other responsibilities as and when may be assigned by the Head of the Department.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a doctorate in Mathematics preferably in the areas of Mathematics of Finance (Position 1) and Pure Mathematics (Position 2); (ii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) University teaching or equivalent experience and evidence of governance and social engagement are added advantage.
