Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Social Science
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses especially Bayesian Statistics, Multivariate Analysis ii) supervise undergraduate, Masters and PhD student research as need may arise; iii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research; iv) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Candidates should have: i) At least a relevant Doctorate in Statistics. ii) Show evidence of engagement in research. iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement will be an added advantage; iv) University teaching experience or equivalent will be an added advantage. v) Areas of interest in Bayesian Statistics or Multivariate Analysis.
