LECTURER IN STATISTICS (1 Contract Position)

Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Social Sciences

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses especially: Data Science or Time series or Econometrics ii) supervise undergraduate, Master, and PhD student research as the need may arise; iii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research; iv) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Candidates should have: i) At least a relevant Doctorate in Statistics. ii) Show evidence of engagement in research. iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement will be an added advantage; iv) University teaching experience or equivalent will be an added advantage. v) Areas of interest in Data Science or Time series or Econometrics.
