Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate level courses especially elementary statistics, probability and multivariate statistics; (ii) supervise undergraduate student’s projects as need may arise; (iii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research; (iv) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should possess: (i) a Doctorate in Statistics or related field, (ii) show evidence of engagement in research. The following will be added advantages; (i) Evidence of governance and social engagement; (ii) as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution and (iii) Area of interest in any one of the following: Multivariate, Probability, Linear Models, Experimental Design, Actuarial Science and Stochastic Processes.
N.B. In special circumstances a relevant Masters’ Degree in Statistics with a Bachelors’ degree in Statistics of at least 2.1 pass/ GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered on contract basis.
