LECTURER - SOCIAL WORK (Contract Position)

FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES - DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK

VACANCY NO: IRC 1047 - LECTURER (Contract Position)

Duties: The successful applicant should be able to teach social work methods, particularly a combination of any two (2) of the following areas:  Social Policy, Clinical Social Work, Community Practice and Research.  The successful candidate will also be expected to carry-out other duties as may be directed by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Candidates should possess: (i) at least a relevant Doctorate degree in social work or social welfare; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) University teaching experience or equivalent will be an added advantage; (iv) evidence of governance and social engagement will be an added advantage.

NB:  In special circumstances a relevant master’s degree in social work with a bachelor’s degree in social work of at least second class first division (2.1) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent.
