LECTURER IN SOCIAL WORK

VACANCY NO. FSS/SW 1 /2021

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. The candidate should be able to teach at least two of the following: Micro-social work, Mezzo-social work, Macro-social work or Mixed social research methods. The Department reserves the right to allocate other courses in addition to those outlined above.

Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) at least a relevant doctorate in social work or social welfare; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research. The following will be added advantages: (i) Evidence of governance and social engagement, (ii) teaching experience at a university or comparable institution; (iii) evidence of engagement in quantitative research method and; (iv) evidence of service in clinical/social engagement / community service.

N.B. In special circumstances a relevant Master of Social Work degree with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work degree of at least 2.1 pass/ GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered on contract basis.
