Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Science Education in the Department of Mathematics and Science, Faculty of Education.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Teach Science Education courses to undergraduate and graduate students; (ii) supervise students on internship/teaching practice; (iii) supervise students’ research projects, theses and dissertations at both undergraduate and graduate levels (iv) undertake any other duties from time to time as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) A relevant doctoral degree in Biology Education or equivalent; (ii) a Master’s degree in Biology Education or equivalent. (iii) a Bachelor’s degree in Biology Education or equivalent (iv) evidence of engagement in research (v) Experience in teaching Science Education at college/university level or its equivalence, social engagements and governance will be added advantages.
A relevant Master’s degree with a Bachelors degree of at least 2.1 or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances
