DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
LECTURER IN REMOTE SENSING (CONTRACT POSITION)
VACANCY NO: FS/ENV04/2022
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Remote sensing. (ii) Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects within the department; (iii) conduct research in their area of expertise; (iv) participate in the academic and professional activities of the Department; (vi) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) A Doctorate in Remote sensing or related field, (ii) show evidence of engagement in research, (iii) the following will be added advantages: (i) Evidence of governance and social engagement, (ii) as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution; (iii) and evidence of scholarship in environmental systems modelling or Quantitative Techniques.
NB: In special circumstances, a Master’s Degree in Remote sensing, a Bachelor’s degree in Remote sensing with at least a 2(i) pass or GPA of 3.6 may be considered on a contract basis.
