Applications are invited for the positions of Lecturer tenable in the Department of Architecture and Planning, Faculty of Engineering & Technology.
Duties: The successful candidates are expected to: (i) teach undergraduate level courses in Real Estate which comprises any of the following fields: valuation, facilities management, rating, estate agency, housing economies, land economics and/or property development appraisal. The Department reserves the right to allocate other courses besides those outlined above; (ii) undertake research in his/her field of expertise; (iii) provide services to the University, profession and the community; (iv) undertake any other duties assigned to him/her by the supervisor or Head of Department.
Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) a Doctorate in a Real Estate discipline; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) membership of the Real Estate Institute of Botswana or membership of any internationally recognized institute; (iv) evidence of governance and social engagement in Real Estate related fields, as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will be added advantages.
N.B. Applicants with a Master’s Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Property Investment Appraisal, Land Economics or related field from a recognized university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Land Management and Valuation or Land Economics of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered.
