LECTURER IN REAL ESTATE- (1 CONTRACT POSITION)

Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer tenable in the Department of Architecture and Planning, Faculty of Engineering & Technology.
Duties: The successful candidate is expected to: (i) teach undergraduate level courses in Valuation and any of the following fields in Real Estate: facilities management, rating, estate agency, housing economies, property management, land economics and/or property development appraisal; (ii) undertake research in his/her field of expertise; (iii) participate in governance and social engagement; (iv) undertake any other duties assigned to him/her by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should possess: (i) a Doctorate in Real Estate or in any of its specialized fields of: Property Investment Appraisal, Land Economy, Estate Management, Land Management and Valuation, (ii) show evidence of engagement in research, (iii) show evidence of membership of the Real Estate Institute of Botswana or membership of any internationally recognized institute. Evidence of governance and social engagement in context of the Real Estate profession, as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will be added advantages.
N.B In special circumstances a Master’s Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Property Investment Appraisal, Land Economy, Estate Management or equivalent with a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Land Management and Valuation, Land Economy or Estate Management of at least 2(i) or equivalent and 10 years of distinguished professional practice may be considered.
