LECTURER IN RADIATION AND HEALTH PHYSICS (CONTRACT POSITION)

The Faculty of Science invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Lecturer in Radiation and Health Physics.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach undergraduate courses related to BSc in Radiation and Health Physics programme; (ii) supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects within the department; (iii) conduct research in their area of expertise; (iv) participate in the academic and professional activities of the Department; (v) carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of the Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a Doctorate in Radiation Physics or related fields; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research. The following will be added advantages: (i) evidence of Governance and Social Engagement; (ii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution; (iii) supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students.
N.B: In special circumstances a Master’s Degree in Radiation Physics or related and a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Physics or related fields with at least a 2(i) pass or (GPA of at least 3.6) may be considered.
