LECTURER IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

LECTURER IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION-1 Post  

VACANCY NO: FSS/PAS 2/2021

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. The candidate should be able to teach at least three of the following: Research Methods and Computer Applications; Qualitative Research Methods; Public Sector Reforms; Public Sector Financial Management; Human Resources Management; Industrial Relations; Public Policy and Administration; and International Administration. The successful candidate must also be able to take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate and post graduate research work. The Department reserves the right to allocate other courses in addition to those outlined above. 

Requirements: (i) Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration or related discipline; (ii) Show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching experience at a university or comparable institution will be added advantages.

N.B. In special circumstances, a relevant Master’s Degree in Public Administration or related discipline with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related discipline of at least 2.1 or equivalent may be considered.
