Duties: The successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. The candidates should be able to teach at least three of the following: Critical Thinking; International Relations; Security Studies; Conflict and War; Analysis of National Security Policies; Foreign Policy Analysis; Theories and Practice in Civil Military Relations; and Research Methods and Computer Applications. The successful candidates must also be able to take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate and post graduate research work. The Department reserves the right to allocate other courses in addition to those outlined above.
Requirements: (i) Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science or related discipline; (ii) Master’s Degree in Political Science or related discipline with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science of at least 2.1 or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances; (iv) University teaching experience will be an added advantage; (v) Evidence of engagement in research will be added advantage; (vi) Evidence of governance and social engagement will be added advantage.
