Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach Undergraduate and Graduate courses in organic chemistry; (ii) supervise both Undergraduate and Graduate student research projects; (iii) conduct research in their area of expertise and complement existing research areas in organic chemistry; (iv) participate in academic and professional activities of the department; (v) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) at least PhD degree in Chemistry, specializing in Organic Chemistry or related field; (ii) A Master’s degree in Chemistry specializing in organic chemistry or related field; (iii) a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field of at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; (iv) show evidence of engagement in research. Evidence of governance and social engagement in organic chemistry or related field, as well as teaching experience at University or comparable institution and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages.
N.B. Applicants with Master’s degree in Chemistry specializing in organic chemistry or related field with a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered.
