LECTURER IN NON-GYNECOLOGY CYTOLOGY (CONTRACT POSITION)

The Faculty of Health Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Lecturer in School of Allied Health Professions.

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) undertake teaching courses in the BSc Cytotechnology & Histotechnology Science programme (ii) conduct research in cytology and histology (ii) make contributions to the development of cytotechnology and histotechnology science profession (iii) coordinate or lead the activities in the profession; (vi) undertake administration/coordination activities at the institution.

Requirements:  Applicants should possess: (i) a PhD in Cytology or Histology or related fields; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) Registered with the Botswana Health Professions Council. The following will be added advantages: (i) Evidence of Governance and Social Engagement (ii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution; (

N.B In special circumstances a Master's in Cytology or Histology or related fields with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cytology or Histology or an equivalent degree with a single or double major in Cytology/Histology or both with at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; or an MMed in Anatomical Pathology with at least a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent.
