The Faculty of Science invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics.
Duties: The successful applicant will among other things, be expected to: (i) teach Pure/Applied Mathematics courses at undergraduate and graduate level (ii) supervise undergraduate projects, but may be assigned to supervise graduate students (iii) conduct research and render professional service, (iv) carry out any other responsibilities as and when may be assigned by the Head of the Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a doctorate in Mathematics; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) University teaching or equivalent experience and evidence of governance and social engagement are added advantage.
NB: In special circumstances Master’s Degree in Mathematics may be considered provided that the applicant has Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or related fields with at least a 2(ii) pass or equivalent and may be considered on contract basis.
