DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
LECTURER IN MANUFACTURING (CONTRACT)
VACANCY NO: FET/ME01/2024
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Manufacturing and related areas; (ii) Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects; (iii) Conduct research in the area of Manufacturing and also complement existing research activities; (iv) Participate in other academic and professional activities of the department; (v) Render professional service and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related areas; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) teaching experience in the area of Manufacturing at a university or comparable institution and evidence of governance and social engagement will be added advantages.
N.B: Under special circumstances applicants with relevant Masters Degree with a relevant Bachelor’s degree of at least second class first division (2.1) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered.
