Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to i) Teach large classes of undergraduate and graduate courses in Inorganic chemistry; ii) Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects; iii) Conduct research in their area of expertise and also complement existing research areas in Inorganic Chemistry; participate in other academic and professional activities of the department; iv) Render professional service and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) at least PhD degree in Chemistry, specializing in Inorganic Chemistry; (ii) A Master’s degree specializing in inorganic chemistry or related field; (iii) a Bachelor’s degree in inorganic chemistry or related field of at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; (iv) show evidence of engagement in research. Evidence of governance and social engagement in inorganic chemistry or related field, as well as teaching experience in General Chemistry, Main Group Chemistry, Bioinorganic chemistry & Group Theory at a University or comparable institution will be added advantages.
N.B. Applicants with Master’s degree in inorganic chemistry or related fields with a Bachelor’s degree of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered.
