LECTURER IN INORGANIC CHEMISTRY

VACANCY NO: FSc/C 02/2020

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to i) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Inorganic chemistry; ii) Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects; iii) Conduct research in their area of expertise and also complement existing research areas in Inorganic Chemistry; participate in other academic and professional activities of the department; iv) Render professional service and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) at least PhD degree in Chemistry, specializing in Inorganic Chemistry; (ii) show evidence of engagement in research; (iii) governance and social engagement, as well as teaching experience in General, Organometallic & solid state chemistry will be added advantages.

N.B. Applicants with a Master’s degree specializing in inorganic chemistry with a Bachelor’s degree of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered on contract basis with the possibility of renewal.
