LECTURER IN HYDROLOGY

VACANCY NO:FS/ENV02/2022

The Faculty of Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Lecturer in Hydrology.

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the physical environment; (ii) supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects within the department; (iii) conduct research in their area of expertise; (iv) participate in the academic and professional activities of the Department; (vi) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a PhD in Hydrology, or related fields; (iii) evidence of engagement in research. The following will be added advantages: (i) evidence of Governance and Social Engagement; (ii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution; (iii) knowledge in environmental systems modelling.

NB: In special circumstances, a Master’s Degree in Hydrology, a bachelor’s degree Environmental Science with at least a 2(i) pass or GPA of 3.6 may be considered on a contract basis.
