LECTURER IN HOSPITALITY (Contract Position)

DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

VACANCY NO: FOB/THM 01/2024

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach undergraduate, postgraduate and executive courses; (ii) take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate and graduate students’ research projects; (iii) have the ability to teach in any of the areas of Front office, rooms division, food and beverages or hospitality sales and marketing; (iv) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research; (v) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a Doctoral degree in Hospitality or related field; (ii) a Master’s degree in Hospitality or related field; (iii) a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field; (iv) show evidence of engagement in research. (iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching experience at the University or comparable institution, and a relevant professional qualification in computerised hospitality or tourism systems will be added advantages.

NB: Applicants with Master’s degree in Hospitality or related field with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field of at least a 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances.
