LECTURER IN HAEMATOLOGY (CONTRACT POSITION)

VACANCY NO:FHS/SoAHP02/2022

The Faculty of Health Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Lecturer in the School of Allied Health Professions.

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) undertake undergraduate and graduate teaching  in their discipline (ii) conduct research (ii) make contributions to the development of the Medical Laboratory Sciences profession (iii) coordinate or lead the activities in the profession; and (vi) undertake administration/coordination activities at the institution.

Requirements:  Applicants should possess: (i) a PhD in Haematology or related field; Additional coursework or industry training in haematology would be an added advantage. (iiI) Applicants must show evidence of engagement in research; (iv) Be registered or eligible for registration with the Botswana Health Professions Council. The following will be added advantages: (i) Evidence of Governance and Social Engagement (ii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution.

N.B A Master of Science in Haematology or equivalent with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or an equivalent degree with at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered.
