LECTURER IN ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY AND ASSESSMENTS (CONTRACT POSITION)

VACANCY NO: FS/ENV05/2022

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the human environment fields with a bias towards sustainable development, natural resources use policy and environmental assessments; (ii) Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects within the department; (iii) conduct research in their area of expertise; (iv) participate in the academic and professional activities of the Department; (v) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: The applicant should: (i) have at least a Doctorate in Environmental Science or related discipline (with a bias towards natural resource use policy and environmental assessments); (ii) show evidence of engagement in research, (iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement, as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will be an added advantage.

NB: In special circumstances, a master’s degree in Environmental Science, with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with at least a 2(i) pass or GPA of 3.6 may be considered on a contract basis.
