FACULTY OF EDUCATION
VACANCY NO. IRC 1002: LECTURER IN EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY, DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATIONS (Contract Position)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in Educational Psychology.
Duties: The successful candidate is expected to: (i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Educational Psychology. (ii) be prepared to teach large classes. (iii) take an active part in supervision and assessment of graduate students. (iv) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including teaching practice, research and curriculum review and (v) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) a Doctorate in Educational Psychology: (ii) M. Ed in Educational Psychology; (iii) Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology or related discipline with at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent; (iv) evidence of engagement in research. The following will be added advantages: (i) teaching experience at a university or comparable institution; (ii) evidence of governance and social engagement and (iii) Specialization in Psychometric Testing.
NB: In circumstances (ii) a relevant M. Ed in Educational Psychology with Bachelor’s degree in related discipline of at least 2.1 or equivalent may be considered.
